You can pay by credit (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, Venmo, PayPal, PayPal Credit, Google Pay, Apple Pay) or debit card, or you may issue an electronic check from your checking or savings bank account.

Customers now have the option to Pay by Text. Simply sign up for an online account, then select bill summary notifications - Pay by Text.

Never waste another stamp and never have to write another check! With Automatic Payment from HG&E you’ll never have to mail checks or pay your bills in person, saving you time and money. Instead, your default bank account or credit card is charged directly for the amount due on your current HG&E bill, making late fees and time-consuming bill payments a thing of the past.

When enrolled, you’ll receive an account statement at least 15 days before the charge is to be processed. This statement will inform you of your current account charges and the date the amount is to be debited from your bank account or credit card. Therefore, you’ll always have a chance to call us and question the bill or stop the scheduled charge.

Best of all, this program is completely free and assures you that you’ll receive your 10% prompt payment discount every month.

You can pay over the phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by using a credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, Amex) or an electronic check.  In order to complete this transaction please have your customer account number ready.

Walk-in payments can be made at HG&E's Main Office.   We accept cash, check, money order, or credit card  (MasterCard, Visa, Discover). There are no additional fees for this service.  Please note that credit card payments are not accepted at our drive through.

Located behind HG&E's Main Office, customers can drive thru and make payments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Pay by cash, check, or credit card.  In order to complete this transaction please have your customer account number ready.

We maintain several payment drop boxes throughout the city, where you can deposit your payment. Accounts are credited the next business day.

Prompt Payment Discount

Through HG&E's prompt payment discount, all customers who pay their bill in full within 15 days of receipt receive 10% discount on their bill.
